What the team is looking for.

Perplexity is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to build its internal communications function from the ground up. You will own how information moves through Perplexity, and be responsible for what Perplexity employees think, feel, know, and do.

Responsibilities:

  • Listen and learn across the company to make sound recommendations on what should be amplified or addressed.
  • Run all-hands and executive content, including planning, execution, measurement, and evolution.
  • Create internal stories that turn strategy, launches, and hard decisions into messages that bring clarity to every team.
  • Establish channels, cadences, and norms that keep a fast company informed without overwhelming it.
  • Own change management, delivering hard and easy news with equal clarity and candor.
  • Protect the culture by ensuring company communications reflect its values.
  • Measure what matters in a high-velocity, high-humility organisation.
  • Partner across the company, working with every team, briefing executives directly, and earning standing as a truth-teller.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years in internal, executive, or corporate communications, ideally in a high-growth technology company.
  • Experience building a communications function from scratch.
  • World-class writing and editing skills.
  • Proven change-management instincts.
  • Sharp judgment under pressure.
  • Comfort with executives who hold a strong vision.
  • Deep familiarity with corporate communications rules.
  • Comfort using AI tools in your workflow.

Compensation:

  • $130K – $190K
