What the team is looking for.

Anthropic is seeking an M&A Immigration Specialist to lead the immigration strategy behind corporate transactions. As Anthropic grows through acquisitions and acqui-hires, you'll ensure that global talent moves seamlessly through every deal , from initial due diligence through close and beyond.

You will serve as the immigration advisor to Anthropic's Corporate Development, Legal, and People teams, translating complex immigration questions into clear guidance and designing integration plans for acquired employees.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead immigration due diligence on prospective acquisitions and acqui-hires
  • Evaluate visa and green card posture of target workforces
  • Identify portability and successor-in-interest considerations
  • Quantify immigration risk, cost, and timeline implications
  • Serve as immigration advisor to Corporate Development, Legal, and senior leadership
  • Design and execute integration plans for transferring foreign nationals
  • Ensure continuity of status through close and provide white-glove support
  • Maintain compliance with domestic and international employer obligations
  • Build playbooks, frameworks, and policies for M&A immigration

Minimum qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in business immigration for mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring
  • Demonstrated ability to manage critical, deadline-driven processes
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Sound, independent judgment

Preferred qualifications:

  • 8+ years of business immigration experience
  • Experience advising in a fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environment
  • Background in scaling an immigration function or building processes from the ground up
  • Passion for immigration work

The annual compensation range for this role is $235,000-$300,000 USD.
