Role description

What the team is looking for.

As a Customer Marketing Manager at Cursor, you will develop strategic CXO advocacy programs, turning successful customers into storytellers and translating the customer base into a growth engine.

You’ll work closely with Sales, Field Engineering, Product, and Marketing to integrate the customer into launches, brand moments, events, and GTM pushes. Success is measured by high-quality advocacy, executive relationships, and customer-influenced pipeline and revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Own Cursor’s customer marketing motion: define high-leverage customer segments and tailor programs to build advocacy.
  • Build and scale customer proof: develop case studies, testimonials, and thought leadership.
  • Create advocacy programs: design and run customer champion programs and reference programs.
  • Partner with Product and Product Marketing on launches: ensure customer voices are included.
  • Work with the Global Field Marketing team: support customer events and community moments.
  • Partner with GTM to influence revenue: identify and build champions in key accounts.
  • Measure impact and optimize programs: define success metrics and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Operate with strong prioritization under constraint: focus on high-leverage work.

Requirements:

  • Experience building customer marketing programs end-to-end.
  • Strong judgment about credible customer proof.
  • Strong storytelling skills for complex technical value.
  • Energized by high ownership, ambiguity, and moving fast.
  • Thrive in cross-functional environments.

Experience that helps:

  • Marketing to developer audiences.
  • Track record building customer advocacy and lifecycle programs.
  • Comfort with imperfect attribution and experimentation.
