Perplexity is looking for a Creator & Influencer Marketing Lead to build, own, and scale their entire creator and influencer marketing function.
The successful candidate will define the strategy in line with company priorities, then own the execution of massive campaigns spanning 100+ creators and multi-million-dollar budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Perplexity's creator and influencer marketing function end to end, from strategy through execution
- Own execution of large-scale campaigns spanning 100+ creators, multiple channels, and multi-million-dollar budgets
- Own creator contracting and negotiation for one-off campaigns and long term partnerships
- Maximize the impact of Perplexity product launches by deploying the right creator mix, budget, and channels for each moment
- Bring a performance marketing mindset to creator work, partnering with Growth to drive conversion and engagement, not just impressions
- Push creators' work from good to great, providing the direction and candid feedback that elevates every piece
- Review creator "builds" made with Perplexity Computer to ensure they are sophisticated, original, and effectively showcase the product’s impressive capabilities
- Turn creators into a genuine community and long-term advocates through creator dinners, events, and in-person moments
- Build a creative engine that extends your capacity through contractors, agencies, and usage of Perplexity Computer
- Work cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Business, and Comms, acting as the connective tissue between creator marketing and the broader company
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in creator/influencer or performance marketing, including time leading the function or building it from the ground up
- Operated successfully in high-flux, high-growth environments where priorities shift quickly with the industry
- Well-rounded operator who combines strategic sense, storytelling taste, and high execution velocity
- Autonomous self-starter and high performer who thrives with ambiguity and builds the playbook rather than waiting for one
- Track record of evaluating creator performance holistically, looking beyond impressions and engagement to tie creator work to hard business outcomes, with the analytical rigor to cut what isn't working and double down on what is
- Strong creative judgment and editorial taste, with the product fluency to tell whether content and builds are genuinely sophisticated and original
- Skilled, value-driven negotiator with a desire to win great deals while keeping creator relationships healthy
- An existing network of creator and agency relationships, with fluency across Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube
- Hands-on experience building tools / solutions with AI
- Experience working with consumer technology products
Compensation:
- $150K – $225K
