Senior/Staff Applied AI Engineer, Fullstack

Mistral AI is seeking a Senior/Staff Applied AI Engineer to facilitate the adoption of its products among customers and collaborate with them to address complex technical challenges.

The Applied AI Engineer will be an integral part of the Applied AI Engineering team, driving the successful deployment of Mistral AI products. They will work closely with customers from pre-sale to post-implementation, ensuring solutions meet and exceed client expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, and product engineers on complex customer projects, integrating cutting-edge AI models into clients' software products.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust full-stack applications, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and back-end systems.
• Develop complex use cases with customers, providing guidance and ensuring best production integration with back-end and front-end interfaces.
• Collaborate with the product and science team to continuously improve product and model capabilities based on customer feedback.

Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years as a technical individual contributor on cutting-edge technologies
• Strong technical coding skills in Python and TypeScript
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, NextJS, or VueJS
• Experience with back-end technologies such as NodeJS
• Solid understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to technical and non-technical audiences

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience with LLM/GenAI models
• Contributed to open-source projects or libraries
• Experience as a Customer Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Product Manager
