What the team is looking for.
As an Account Associate at Cursor, you'll drive pipeline generation, working across various commercial segments from startups to mid-market engineering organisations. Your role involves building pipeline from scratch, learning about engineering teams, and understanding how Cursor enhances developer productivity.
Responsibilities
- Generate qualified pipeline through high-volume outbound prospecting, including cold calls, personalised emails, LinkedIn, and multi-channel sequences.
- Research target accounts, mapping stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Leadership to identify entry points.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand development teams' challenges and how Cursor fits.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to develop account strategies and hand off opportunities smoothly.
- Meet weekly activity targets and monthly qualified meeting goals.
- Represent Cursor's brand and product effectively.
- Gather market intelligence on resonating messaging, objections, and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to building the playbook, shaping the function's growth.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in sales, customer-facing, or business development roles, preferably in SaaS or developer tools.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to pipeline generation.
- Clear communication skills, able to explain complex products simply.
- Curious about software development and AI's impact.
- Organised and data-driven, tracking activity and iterating quickly.
- Resilience in the face of rejection.
- Fluent business-level Spanish.
