Job Overview
As a Software Engineer - Networking Software and Services at xAI, you'll be part of the Network Software and Services for AI (nssAI) team. You'll build cutting-edge software, services, and frameworks to empower Network Development Engineers. Your work will involve all facets of network management, including metric collection, configuration, zero-touch provisioning, monitoring, and auto-remediation. You'll drive automation-first solutions for xAI's production and ancillary networks, developing extensible tools, streamlining complex processes, and ensuring high reliability.
Responsibilities
You'll focus on:
- Building software and tools with extensive metrics coverage for large GPU supercomputing network fabrics used for AI training and serving customer inference queries.
- Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices, enhancing deployment pipelines, and ensuring robust, secure service delivery across production environments.
Requirements and Preferences
- Deep experience collaborating with network engineers, using extensive knowledge of network topologies and protocols.
- Expert knowledge and proven history in designing scalable and reliable software from scratch that can build and orchestrate tens of thousands of network devices quickly.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, creating metrics to prioritize team focus and your own.

Compensation
The annual salary range is $150,000 - $250,000.
