What the team is looking for.

The goal is to evolve them into autonomous workers that collaborate with humans and other agents over long periods. As Engineering Manager for Agent & Product Security, you'll lead the team that ensures the security and trustworthiness of Cursor's agentic software development.
Responsibilities:
- Define security primitives for agent autonomy and lead the team that builds them.
- Engineer isolation mechanisms for Cursor to safely run inside customers' valuable codebases.
- Develop authority infrastructure for autonomous agents, including identity, scoped permissions, and policy enforcement.
- Create customer-facing security controls that are understandable and usable.
- Hire, coach, and grow a high-performing security engineering team.
Requirements:
- Experience leading engineering teams for high-stakes systems.
- Strong product and systems judgment with a focus on security.
- Understanding of modern application security, authorization, and secure-by-default design.
- Instincts about AI agents and their security implications.
