You will manage ISP relationships, fiber infrastructure, and firewall systems to support Mistral's mission-critical operations.
This role is focused on connecting our infrastructure to the world, not internal data center networking. You will negotiate, provision, and maintain ISP contracts, SLAs, and peering agreements. You will also design and optimize multi-ISP connectivity for redundancy and performance.

You will collaborate with security teams to align firewall rules with organizational policies. You will design and maintain BGP routing policies, traffic engineering, and failover mechanisms. You will optimize latency, bandwidth, and reliability for global connectivity.
You will monitor WAN performance metrics and proactively resolve issues. You will build and maintain relationships with ISPs, fiber providers, and hardware vendors. You will coordinate with internal teams to align WAN strategies with business needs.
You will represent Mistral in peering forums, IX communities, and vendor discussions. You will maintain up-to-date documentation for WAN architectures, firewall configurations, and ISP agreements. You will develop runbooks and playbooks for common network operations and incident response.
You will mentor junior team members on WAN/ISP best practices. To succeed in this role, you will need 7+ years of experience in WAN, ISP connectivity, or external networking. You will need deep expertise in BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and TCP/IP. You will need hands-on experience with ISP peering and multi-homing architectures.
You will need proficiency in firewall management and familiarity with fiber optics, DWDM, and carrier-grade networking hardware. You will need experience with network monitoring tools and knowledge of network automation. You will need strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex WAN/ISP issues.
You will need excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will need vendor management experience. You will need to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
