I'd rather listen first.
I take quite a consultative approach. I prefer to listen to the problems people have, and then propose a solution and the commercial shape it might take. Some of my clients take me on a monthly retainer, some on an hourly rate, and some on a project basis. That's fine.
I'm always delighted to start with a feasibility audit. It's a small project: you pay a fee, I come in and audit everything, have a good look at how things work, and tell you what can be done. Then, mutually, we decide the right way to move forward.
What I offer is solving the hard problems: the price monitors for the commercial team, the jobs feeds to build traffic, the automated compliance checker, the digital marketing audit tools that support the people running digital marketing. Sometimes I'm hired to build something unique and quite specific. Sometimes my clients see enough in my own examples to see a way forward with their own work.
Either way, I'm keen to share and hand over. A typical engagement runs three to six months, with me as your source of knowledge while your team upskills, so that when I leave, the engine is yours and the people know how to run it.
What is the hard problem you can't solve for a reasonable budget?
Tell me what you're trying to figure out and I'd be delighted to think about solutions that work for you. You can also find me on LinkedIn.
