We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Paris. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for owning and running the end-to-end close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and scalable financial reporting across all entities. You will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, build and maintain a detailed close calendar and checklist, track progress daily, and ensure all deadlines are met. You will also supervise a team of GL accountants, allocate responsibilities across entities and processes, and actively follow up on progress during close. Additionally, you will oversee journal entries, trial balance accuracy, and ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly. You will work closely with Accounting Operations, Technical Accounting, and Financial Control to ensure clean and timely inputs, complex topic compliance, and review and validation. You will also prepare documentation for auditors, support the production of statutory financial statements, and ensure audit readiness at all times. You will contribute to process improvement by identifying inefficiencies in the close process, supporting automation and standardization initiatives, and contributing to improving tools and systems.
The ideal candidate will have a CPA or equivalent professional designation, 8+ years of experience in accounting, including 2+ years in Big4, solid knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP, strong experience in General Ledger and close processes, experience in multi-entity/international environments, and advanced proficiency in SAP S4/HANA. The candidate should also have strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage deadlines and priorities under pressure, and fluency in French and English.
