You'll lead the development of high-craft, intuitive AI features that power Gamma's presentation product, shipping complex systems that millions of users rely on every day. As a Staff Engineer, you'll balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership, designing systems that handle real-time collaboration and AI at scale, elevating engineering quality and effectiveness across the team, and influencing technical strategy alongside engineering leadership.
You'll ship high-craft, intuitive AI features (including agents) that power Gamma's presentation product, own these systems end-to-end, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability as we grow to hundreds of millions of users. You'll design and implement sophisticated AI workflows that integrate LLMs and image models seamlessly into real-time collaborative experiences, elevate engineering quality and effectiveness across the team through code reviews, mentorship, and establishing best practices, shape Gamma's technical future in AI and product, influencing architecture decisions and technical strategy, and build systems that balance security, usability, and performance at massive scale.
We have a strong in-office culture and work in person 4–5 days per week in San Francisco. We love working together to stay creative and connected, with flexibility to work from home when focus matters most.
