ElevenLabs operates a complex and fast-evolving revenue model. As our Revenue Accountant Lead, you will own end-to-end revenue recognition under ASC 606, lead the revenue close, and serve as the internal expert on how new products, pricing structures, and commercial arrangements hit the income statement.
You will partner closely with Sales, Legal, Billing Operations, Engineering, and FP&A to review contracts, assess performance obligations, and ensure revenue is recognised accurately and on time. This is a senior, high-ownership role in a lean Finance team – the right person will manage the technical standards, coordinate external audit, and build scalable processes as we move toward IPO readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Deep expertise in ASC 606, including multi-element arrangements, SSP evaluation, variable consideration, contract modifications, and principal vs. agent analysis
- Experience leading the revenue close: deferred revenue management, unbilled receivables, journal entry review, and month-end flux analysis
- Track record of partnering with Sales and Legal on contract review and revenue impact assessments
- Experience operating in a pre-IPO or public company environment, with direct exposure to external audit, controls build-out, and revenue accounting documentation
- CPA, ACA, or ACCA qualification (active); Big 4 or public accounting background a strong plus
- Strong systems proficiency; Stripe, HubiFi or a comparable revenue recognition tool preferred
Bonus:
- Experience with consumption/usage-based and subscription billing models
- Familiarity with ASC 326 (CECL) and AR accounting in a high-volume SaaS context
