Scale AI is seeking a highly motivated Technical Revenue Accounting Senior Manager to join our fast-paced, high-growth accounting team. You will be a key player in ensuring revenue integrity and scalability. Beyond managing the monthly close and contract reviews, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert, architecting solutions for complex transactions and implementing new accounting standards as we continue to scale globally.
As a detail-oriented and self-motivated team player with a desire to learn and passion for delivering quality results, you will lead the Revenue Accounting Team, overseeing monthly accounting close activities, including the review of complex journal entries and key account reconciliations. You will also ensure strict compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP, serving as the final word on revenue recognition for both standard and highly bespoke contracts.
In addition to your technical expertise, you will partner with Finance and Strategy teams on revenue metrics, flux analysis, and long-range forecasting. You will lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and footnotes, acting as a primary point of contact for external auditors for all revenue-related contracts and matters.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, and at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and high-growth industry experience. You will also require 3+ years of experience managing and developing high-performing teams, deep expertise in ASC 606, and the ability to translate complex technical research into actionable operational policies.
In return for your expertise, you will receive a competitive compensation package, including base salary, equity, and benefits. The base salary range for this full-time position in San Francisco is $163,800-$225,000 USD.
