The distance between what someone wants and what they actually accomplish can shrink dramatically , and the browser is where that happens for billions of people.
We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager who sees that opportunity clearly and has the conviction and the hands to go build it. Someone who invents on behalf of customers rather than waiting to be told what they want. Someone who thinks about AI not just as a set of features to add, but as the means by which we rethink the whole product on behalf of the people who use it every day. The role is yours to define. The surface area is massive. The moment is now.
As a Principal Product Manager, you will own the AI-native product strategy for Microsoft Edge, defining how AI collapses the distance between what people want and what they can accomplish , across research, tasks, decisions, and everything else people bring to their browser. You will invent on behalf of billions of users: form solid, well-reasoned convictions about what people need before they can articulate it themselves, and build toward that vision.
Turn frontier AI capabilities into experiences customers actually want to use, not demos that impress in a conference room and disappear six months later. Run fast, hypothesis-driven experimentation cycles across new AI interaction patterns and UI flows; let real usage data sharpen your convictions. Partner with research teams to identify model advances with real customer value and move them from research to shipped product. Work with data science and growth teams to ensure AI-powered features reach and retain the users who need them most.
Set clear direction in ambiguous spaces, make tradeoffs visible to leadership, and drive alignment across partner teams. Operate as a senior IC: coach PMs on adjacent workstreams, unblock critical path items, and hold a high bar for what “done” means.
