The SSR team is looking for an Image Sensor Engineer who has comprehensive experience with developing image sensors and supporting module/system integration. You'll closely partner with research scientists to validate the developed image sensors in camera prototypes and demonstrate new user experiences we aim to enable. You’ll also act as the bridge between research and product teams to ensure the novel imaging technology we develop can be smoothly integrated into the camera subsystems of Meta’s future wearable AR/VR/AI products.
What you'll do
Propose specification/functional requirements for customized image sensors and align with stakeholders inside SSR and cross-functional teams
Manage the engagement with vendors on customized image sensor development including design, bench-level characterization, ATE-level testing, etc
Support internal teams to integrate off-the-shelf image sensors or customized image sensors into camera modules and prototyping systems
Implement solutions or engage vendor to provide solutions for the needed sensor configurations to meet system-level requirements
What you need
Master’s degree in the field of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in image sensor design including readout circuits, pixel driving circuits, controlling circuits, I2C/I3C interfaces and MIPI C/D-PHY in advanced CMOS image sensor process nodes
Shipped 1 or more image sensor products in mass production for cellphones or wearable devices
Experience with PCB design
Experience with image sensor characterization
Experience with image sensor ATE-level testing
Familiar with pixel operating principles for both rolling-shutter and global-shutter image sensors
Familiar with state-of-the-art 3D stacking process for image sensors fabrication
Familiar with image signal processor (ISP) functions
