The Risk Organization Counseling team provides strategic legal advice to Meta’s Central Risk Org on central privacy initiatives, and to lawyers, product and engineering teams across the company on privacy regulatory response. The team is looking for an experienced lawyer who is interested in taking on a leading role in supporting central privacy initiatives across Meta, including the product risk review process, and privacy compliance workstreams.
What you'll do
Provide strategic guidance for risk teams as expert liaison for central product review and launch processes, and their day to day implementation, to ensure robust central compliance
Counsel on strategy and legal risk mitigation for global regulatory workstreams and initiatives across various jurisdictions, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders
Create, develop, and deliver training documents for new privacy feature launches for leadership and the broader legal department
What you need
Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution
Active and in good standing bar license in at least one U.S. state or equivalent foreign bar license. Where the jurisdiction of licensure differs from the location in which the role is based, the ability to promptly obtain permission to practice law for Meta in that location
8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm, in-house, or in government
