What you'll do
The Engineering and Operations Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center. The technician serves as a technical resource to support Amazon within its data centers.
- Responsibility 1: The technician is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is properly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Responsibility 2: The technician is responsible for providing technical support to Amazon's data centers, including troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
What you need
- Required skill 1: The technician must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Center Operations, Building Operations, or an equivalent mission-critical environment.
- Required skill 2: The technician must have a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical data center systems, including generators, transformers, electrical distribution gears, uninterruptible power systems (UPS), automatic transfer switches (ATS), pumps, ventilation and air conditioning units (AHU, CRAH, CRAC), as well as building management systems (BMS), electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS), and data trend analysis.
