Opening. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing critical infrastructure that powers digital experiences for millions of customers worldwide. In this collaborative role, you'll apply your technical expertise while working with diverse teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our data center operations.
What you'll do
You'll interface with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
- Undertake and support management of both routine maintenance and emergency service of a variety of critical systems such as switch-gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, fire systems, etc.
- Installation of new rack capacity and provisioning of power/cooling
What you need
- 4+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working
- Can use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
