Compensation

The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If the role is non-exempt, overtime pay will be provided consistent with applicable laws. In addition to the salary range listed above, total compensation also includes generous equity, performance-related bonus(es) for eligible employees, and the following benefits.

About the Role

We are looking for a Special Projects Lead, Business Strategy & Operations to help scale the impact of Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions at OpenAI. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, market intelligence, enablement, and execution. You will work across GTM, RevOps, Data Science, and leadership to identify opportunities, drive high-priority strategic initiatives, and help operationalize AI-powered solutions that improve commercial outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead special projects across Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions, from strategy development through execution.

  • Build and scale competitive intelligence capabilities to inform GTM priorities, competitive positioning, and commercial opportunities.

  • Own and coordinate business performance updates for the CRO, including executive-ready insights, metrics, and narratives.

  • Create enablement materials to support adoption of GTM data solutions and tools across sales and related teams.

  • Translate complex analyses and AI capabilities into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.

  • Help define operating rhythms, business review cadences, and scalable processes for the organization.

  • Support strategic planning, operating reviews, and key leadership communications.

  • Drive ambiguity to clarity on fast-moving, high-priority problems.

  • Act as a connector across technical and business teams to ensure AI solutions are practical, adopted, and tied to measurable business impact.

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, consulting ideally in high-growth technology environments.

  • Background in top-tier consulting such as McKinsey, BCG, or Bain, with experience driving strategic and operational initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of business performance management, commercial metrics, and executive reporting.

  • Experience working closely with RevOps, sales, business operations, or go-to-market leadership.

  • Strong market intelligence and problem-structuring skills, with the ability to synthesize internal and external signals into action.

  • Ability to create clear scalable enablement materials, executive updates, and strategic communications.

  • High level of comfort with AI tools and workflows; ability to quickly understand new technologies and apply them to business problems.

  • Clear understanding of SQL / Python to QA outputs of AI generated code.

  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Strong analytical and structured thinking, paired with a practical, hands-on approach to execution.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience preparing materials for executive leaders such as a CRO or senior staff.
