As a Senior ML Software Engineer on the GeminiApp Strategic User Segments team, you will build full-stack integrations to the GeminiApp platform, shipping exciting new features quickly from concept to launch.
The team is dedicated to expanding Gemini's reach into high-potential sectors, including Education, Health, and Small Businesses, by building capabilities that address the unique workflows of these users.
In this full-stack role, you will work on building high-quality, domain-specific experiences within Gemini App. We are looking for candidates who have a passion and a strong track record of developing novel technologies, systematically experimenting and evaluating them and iterating rapidly.
Key responsibilities include demonstrating technical leadership in building innovative features for the target users, leading the full-stack implementation, from front-end, back-end, to the model, to deliver high-quality products, collaborating with researchers to understand cutting-edge innovation in generative AI, and applying it to the app, conducting in-depth data analysis to identify headroom for the feature, and developing a strategy to design and implement solutions to improve the quality.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field, 10+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms, 5+ years of experience with full-stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, etc., hands-on experience with prompt engineering and post-training techniques for large language models, including data pipeline and evaluation methodologies, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $166,000 – $244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
