About the Role
As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will design and implement highly scalable, low-latency, always-on services that power Bing search. You will quickly ramp up on diverse components, understand their design and functionality, and deliver impactful features. You will influence architecture and design decisions across teams, driving best practices and common patterns. You will collaborate effectively with multiple teams, demonstrating solid partnership and communication skills.

The Candidate we're looking for
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years related experience (e.g., statistics predictive analytics, research) OR Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 1+ year(s) related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR equivalent experience.
Technical skills:
- 4+ years of programming experience in Python, C++, C#, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with data mining, machine learning, classification, clustering, or related areas.
