We are seeking a seasoned operational professional to lead our robotics operations team in Mexico City. As a Robotics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the facility's performance during your assigned shift, managing up to 100 personnel, and ensuring the seamless integration of human capital, robotic systems, and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Span of Control: Provide strategic and tactical direction to a shift organization of 100 people, including Operations Supervisors, Robotics Technicians, and Data Collection Associates.

  • Employee Experience & Advocacy: Serve as the guardian of the workplace experience, proactively identifying the demands and requirements of the shift staff, and transforming feedback into actionable initiatives that enhance operational ergonomics, engagement, and overall workplace satisfaction.

  • Mentorship: Utilize structured 1:1 coaching sessions as the primary mechanism to discuss career path, provide performance feedback, and prepare career paths for operators and supervisors.

  • Operational Excellence & Metric Accountability: Maintain full accountability for shift-level performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost.

  • Technical Stability: Partner with the Robotics Technical team to ensure maximum equipment uptime, serving as the primary escalation point for any operational disruptions, and ensuring rapid resolution to maintain data collection targets.

  • Resource Optimization: Oversee complex labor planning and headcount allocation, ensuring that all team members are effectively deployed against the site's daily objectives.

  • Advanced Data Analysis & Problem Solving: Execute analysis of shift performance data, demonstrating the ability to identify statistical outliers and performance trends, and translating raw data into technical or behavioral insights.

  • Root Cause Methodology: Lead formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to address complex operational variances and implement preventive measures to ensure long-term stability.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate daily with Quality Management, Engineering, and on-site Maintenance teams to synchronize efforts, facilitating formal shift handovers to ensure the precise transfer of critical information and operational status between leadership teams.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years in high-volume manufacturing, automated logistics, or technical operations.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a significant leadership capacity managing large-scale teams (50+ individuals).
  • Advanced proficiency in operational data analysis and the use of business intelligence tools to drive informed decision-making.
  • Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and standardized problem-solving frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and extensive industry experience will be considered.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish, with the ability to present complex operational reports to executive leadership.

Nice to haves:

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned operational professional with a proven track record of leading large, diverse organizations within technology-driven environments.
  • We are seeking an analytical leader who balances a rigorous commitment to operational KPIs with a human-centric approach.

Please note that our policy requires a 90-day waiting period before reconsidering candidates for the same role.
