We're seeking a Research Scientist to join our Robotics Team. As a Research Scientist, you will lead efforts in developing novel algorithms and models for embodied AI and Artificial General Intelligence. You will design, implement, train, and evaluate large models and algorithms for robotic agents, making breakthroughs and unlocking new robot capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, implementing, training, and evaluating large models and algorithms for robotic agents
- Writing software to implement research ideas and iterating quickly
- Leveraging expertise to participate in a wide variety of research, including learning from simulation, reinforcement learning, learning from demonstrations, vision-language-action models, transformers, video generation, robot control, and more
- Working effectively with a large collaborative team to meet ambitious research goals
- Generating creative ideas, setting up experiments, and testing hypotheses
To succeed as a Research Scientist at Google DeepMind, we look for a PhD in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, with a strong algorithmic background in areas such as reinforcement learning and imitation learning, multimodal generative modeling, training, and inference, and large vision/vision-language/video and other multimodal models.
