Meta is seeking a Research Scientist Intern to take novel organic materials from concept through to the device level with the focus on the fundamentals of how the material behaves / can be manipulated during growth with an eye to solving problems that arise during scaling.
What you'll do
Develop the next generation of optoelectronic materials with an emphasis on advanced design, growth, and analysis, to prove new concepts and understand the potential impact of those concepts.
-
Collaborate with the larger Meta Reality Labs Research team to holistically understand current goals, limitations, and bottlenecks in the wider AR/VR space.
-
Design and explore novel crystal growth/processing techniques, with a focus on highly specific components and devices.
What you need
-
Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, Optical Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field.
-
2+ years experience in at least one of the following areas: chemistry, materials, organic materials, crystallization / solid state analysis, optoelectrical materials.
-
2+ years experience with solid-state analysis: e.g. diffuse reflectance, XRD, spectroscopy, DSC.
