The Applied Perception Science (APS) team at Meta Reality Labs is seeking a research scientist intern to join our vision science program, focusing on visual perception in augmented reality (AR) headsets. This role will help pioneer foundational research into the interaction between AR digital content and the real world in see-through displays, informing display technologies in next-generation AR devices.
What you'll do
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to design and conduct psychophysical experiments, develop new metrics of visual perception in AR, and build a new research stream quantifying visual performance in AR hardware. Your work will directly inform the design and optimization of AR display architectures, ensuring that Meta's products deliver industry-leading visual experiences.
What you need
- Currently pursuing a PhD degree in vision science, sensory analysis, consumer science, or a related field
- Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing the results of psychophysical experiments related to visual perception, sensory analysis, and/or display systems
