Your mission is to champion developer success and drive the adoption of our foundational models and tools within the robotics domain. This role requires a unique blend of deep technical expertise, genuine developer empathy, and strategic thinking to navigate the rapid evolution of generative AI and its application to robotics.
Key responsibilities:
- Prototyping and reference implementation: Act as the "zeroth user", build prototypes, write and maintain code examples and demos, evaluate developer workflow and provide critical, hands-on feedback to improve developer experience.
- Own open source: Develop and maintain open source repositories and libraries, and improve the general project for external developers.
- Technical Content and Education: Create and publish technical content, such as tutorials, integration guides, API documentation, video workshops, and deep-dive blogs, etc, that simplifies complex concepts and lowers the barrier to entry for developers.
- Community Engagement & Advocacy: Represent Google DeepMind as a technology advocate at major robotics conferences and events (e.g., ROSCon, ICRA, …), attend developer meetups, etc. Actively engage with the community on forums (e.g. Discourse), GitHub, etc, answering questions, resolving problems, collecting feedback.
