This role offers a unique opportunity to have a strategic impact with a direct influence on the development of Mistral's procurement function. You will build and implement procurement processes from the ground up, harmonizing workflows and tools (including a P2P system) while optimizing our negotiations with indirect providers (SaaS, professional services, facilities, etc.).
What you'll do
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organization's culture and goals to ensure efficient sourcing of goods and services, including for compliance and budget management purposes.
- P2P Implementation: Lead the end-to-end implementation of a Procure-to-Pay (P2P) tool, from scoping to rollout, to streamline procurement workflows and improve visibility.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the most strategic suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability.
- Risk Management: Have a strong focus on business continuity. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement and process improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure that procurement activities support their objectives. Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance best practices, efficiency, reduce waste, and drive innovation, including by providing guidance and training to enhance procurement skills across the board.
- Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports and analytics on procurement activities, spending, and performance to support decision-making
What you need
- Builder (8+ years of experience): You have designed and implemented procurement processes from scratch, ideally in tech scale-ups or high-growth environments. Experience with full-cycle P2P tool deployment (e.g., Coupa, Jaggaer) is a must.
- Seasoned Negotiator: Proven track record of reducing costs and closing multi-million-dollar deals with monopolistic or complex vendors. You combine grit with creativity to find win-win solutions.
- Large Provider Expert: Experience managing global suppliers (e.g., AWS, Salesforce, Workday) and navigating asymmetric power dynamics in negotiations.
- Great Business Partner: A strong communicator who balances assertiveness with empathy. You listen, influence, and deliver, earning trust from stakeholders.
- Strategic Purchaser: You look beyond cost savings, understanding vendor interdependencies to create smart, aligned strategies.
