We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to support Mistral AI's GDPR compliance strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance documentation, answering data subject requests, implementing GDPR processes and automation, and advising other teams on privacy topics.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting Mistral AI's GDPR compliance
Managing compliance documentation (records of processing of personal data, data privacy impact assessments, internal policies, etc.)
Answering and managing data subject requests
Implementing GDPR processes and automation
Managing employee training on privacy topics
Negotiating DPAs with Mistral AI's providers and customers
Monitoring privacy regulations and supervisory authorities guidance or decisions
The ideal candidate will have a background in law, a bar admission, and 3-5 years of experience in a law firm or in a tech company, in IT law and specifically in privacy law and GDPR compliance. They will also have a good knowledge of privacy regulations and guidance from national supervisory authorities as well as the EDPB, an understanding of artificial intelligence technologies and their applications, and solution-oriented approach.
