This role exists to develop and maintain network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors.
What you'll do
Develop optimized network monitoring systems. Design and deploy new network architectures. Be an active participant in deep technical discussions. Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure. Maintain and Deploy Network Security Monitoring solutions across a fleet of bare metal servers. Ensure network visibility logs across Meta's enterprise network. Iterate network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new vectors. Lead network efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents. Develop automation and utilize frameworks to scale both protection and mitigation tools. Evaluate and test new vendor and in house network initiatives for security issues. Mentor and evangelize security practices through cross functional work with engineering teams throughout Meta. Keep Meta safe through active operation and defense of critical network infrastructure.
What you need
Requires a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Requires a completion of one graduate-level course, one research project, or one internship involving the following: Software Security Engineering, Operating systems, file systems and memory on Windows, MacOS, or Linux, Interpreted programming language PHP, Python, Perl or Ruby, Information security detection and response, Developing scalable systems to automation detection and remediation, Identifying attacker tactics, techniques and procedures, Configure and maintain the infrastructure required to log network telemetry and metadata, Ensure resilience of network infrastructure to withstand internal and external threats, TCP/IP Network Stack, Analytics and troubleshooting, Network Security, Network device configuration.
