As a Network Engineer dismantle the complexities of network planning and procurement. Your role will be pivotal in driving the company's strategy, roadmap, and approval to leadership for peering, transit, backbone circuits, dark fiber, IP space, and vendor relationships. You will work closely with the finance team to create CAPEX/OPEX models with forecasting, unit costs to track cost efficiencies over time.
Responsibilities include securing the company's future with your deep understanding of technical aspects of technologies, current market trends, and future capacity exhaustion points. You will partner with multiple teams and companies to bring a cohesive path forward, relentlessly pushing forward and diving into challenges, and leveraging industry partners to deliver at the company's pace.
Basic qualifications include 10+ years in the industry for planning backbone and edge capacity, deep understanding and experience in designing physically diverse global backbones and edge networks, and 5+ years of creating finance models and projections from capacity planning sessions with engineers.
The compensation package includes a base salary of $180,000 – $440,000 USD, equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short & long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.
