We are looking for a Labour Legal Counsel to join our Corporate Legal team and help shape the development and implementation of our global labour law strategy. Reporting to our Lead Corporate Counsel, you will provide French labour law expertise and play a pivotal role in harmonizing our labour law practices across Mistral AI’s global footprint.
What you'll do
- Provide practical, hands-on expert legal advice on individual and collective employee relationships, working closely with HR to implement solutions ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, and advise on employment lifecycle, ensuring alignment with French legal requirements and Mistral AI’s global policies and strategic objectives
- Advise on collective representation matters, including CSE and associated employee representative bodies, ensuring constructive dialogue and legal compliance
- Support the Lead Corporate Counsel on employee stock ownership plans (ESOP), including legal structuring and communication
What you need
- Legal Master’s degree (Master’s in French Labour Law or equivalent) & additional certifications in international labour law are a plus
- A minimum of 6-8 years experience, with a strong focus on French labour law (individual and collective relationships) and a good experience of US and UK Labour Law (Singapore labour law would be a plus)
- International mindset: Experience working in a multicultural environment and coordinating with teams across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven expertise in handling all legal aspects of employees relations, drafting and negotiating employment contracts and related contracts, managing legals aspects of the employee collective representation, structuring and implementing ESOP programs
- Analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to navigate complex labour law issues and provide pragmatic, business-oriented solutions
- Pedagogy: Excellent written and verbal communication; strong ability to communicate legal advice and presenting complex legal concepts in a clear and understandable manner
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
