As a Facilities Maintenance Assistant at xAI Memphis, you will support the upkeep of our supercomputing data center facilities by assisting with routine non-critical maintenance tasks. Under close supervision, you'll help with basic operations and limited maintenance on critical equipment, contributing to a reliable and efficient environment that powers our AI-driven mission.
What you'll do
- Assist in performing non-critical maintenance and repair work, such as: people door repairs, administrative area upkeep, building envelope maintenance, landscaping
- Under direct supervision of an operator, assist as required in the operation of critical equipment.
- Assist in the performance of limited maintenance on offline critical equipment as directed, including: single chiller maintenance, single CDU filter changeouts, leak detection verification in alarming racks
What you need
- High school diploma or equivalent (relevant experience or technical certification preferred)
- 1+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related hands-on role (data center experience is a plus)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
