As an Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for a wide range of applications, from next-generation consumer hardware to large-scale infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions. You will contribute across all stages of the product or system lifecycle, including prototyping, feasibility, deployment, and operational improvement, in alignment with internal standards and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Electrical Engineer, Power Responsibilities
- Own electrical development of complex subsystems or moderately complex systems, under guidance from technical leads or managers
- Lead schematic design, board layout, and cross-functional design reviews
- Propose innovative solutions to enhance system or product performance, reliability, and features
- Manage hardware bring-up, debugging, and support for manufacturing, assembly, or deployment
- Evaluate vendor reference designs and adapt them to Meta's requirements
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers; contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Work autonomously and take initiative to manage individual and team priorities
- Collaborate in a distributed team environment and across engineering disciplines
- Contribute to operational efficiency, scalability, compliance, or specialized requirements as relevant to the team's mission

- 6+ years of professional experience in electrical design, development, and validation or a relevant technical field
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and troubleshooting complex electrical systems or subsystems
- Proficiency in interpreting and creating electrical schematics, designing physical layouts (e.g., PCBs or panel/plant layouts), and/or performing hardware/system bring-up and debug at the lab or field level
- Experience collaborating across engineering disciplines and with external partners or vendors
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in Power Electronics
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience in power delivery validation and design of DC-DC voltage regulators (e.g. control schemes, power stage MOSFETs, magnetics and decoupling), hot-swap circuitry (e.g. controller ICs, MOSFET load switches, current sense amplifiers)
- Experience with end-to-end power delivery network design, simulation (e.g. SIMPLIS, Sigrity PowerDC/SI, ANSYS SIWave or equivalent) and board level correlation
- Experience with power integrity evaluation
- Experience with design and troubleshooting of power management interfaces (e.g. PMBus, AVS, SVID and SVI2)
- Experience with low voltage and high current power subsystems of CPU, GPU, SoC, ASIC and/or FPGA, and related schematic and PCB design
- Familiar with power delivery architecture of one major CPU supplier
- Familiar with defining specification and validation of power connectors, cable assemblies and fuses
