Design Verification Engineer Role
As a Design Verification Engineer at Meta, you will collaborate with researchers, architects, and designers to establish comprehensive verification strategies for core IP blocks and complex System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions. You will participate in creating and maintaining test bench requirements and detailed test cases for state-of-the-art hardware modules.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers, architects, and designers to establish comprehensive verification strategies
- Participate in creating and maintaining test bench requirements and detailed test cases
- Utilize industry-standard hardware verification methodologies such as Universal Verification Methodology (UVM)
- Employ languages including SystemVerilog, C, and C++ for digital design verification
- Work extensively with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to perform simulation, debugging, and analysis of hardware designs
- Develop automation scripts in Python, TCL, Perl, and Shell to streamline verification flows and enhance test coverage
- Drive the execution of detailed test plans, track verification progress, and ensure closure of verification cycles prior to tape-out
- Lead debugging efforts, identify root causes of functional failures, and partner with design teams to implement resolutions
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with teams spanning design, modeling, emulation, and silicon validation
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Completion of a university-level course, research project, thesis, or internship involving hardware verification, SystemVerilog, C, C++, and scripting languages
- Implementing UVM or comparable verification methodologies
- EDA tools relevant to digital design verification, simulation, and debug
- Analytical skills for solving complex technical problems and ensuring robust and reliable silicon solutions
- Eligibility and ongoing authorization to work in the country of employment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering environments
