Meta is seeking a Data Engineer to join its team. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and deploying new data models and data processes in production. You will also perform data analysis to generate business insights and interface with Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Analysts to understand product goals and data needs.
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and deploy new data models and data processes in production.
- Perform data analysis to generate business insights.
- Interface with Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Analysts to understand product goals and data needs.
- Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.
- Manage data warehouse plans for a product or a group of products.
- Support critical data processes running in production.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field.
- Requires completion of university-level coursework, research project, or internship involving the following:
- Programming in Python or Java
- SQL
- Managing Database systems
- Automate data workflows using Data pipelines
- Assess various user privacy requirements and ensure compliance
- Data modeling to build scalable and compute efficient Data infra
