About the Position
Launched in 2019, Constructor is an AI-first ecommerce search and discovery platform that helps shoppers find the right products at the right time and enables leading global e-commerce brands to drive meaningful revenue and conversion gains.
As a Backend Engineer in the Search team, you will improve the e-commerce experience for hundreds of millions of users across the world by working closely with our product managers to plan and deliver features that impact the entire stack, from the search backend to our customer facing APIs.
Responsibilities
Improving the E-commerce Experience
- Work closely with product managers to plan and deliver features that impact the entire stack, from the search backend to our customer facing APIs
- Build rich product discovery experiences and develop features that define how users interact with search
Backend Performance and Database Communication
- Help determine what technologies we use to make backend performance and database communication blazing fast
- Help craft testing strategies to make sure uptime is 100% and customers stay satisfied
Requirements
- Experience with server-side engineering
- Experience implementing beautiful and inherently consistent web APIs
- Experience working at a high-traffic website and designing highly available and robust systems
- Experience with relational databases and distributed systems
- Enjoy being part of the product development process, incorporating customer feedback, and contributing to all layers of feature development
- Love designing and implementing new features
- Enjoy helping others around you grow as developers and be successful
