Microsoft are looking for an Advertising Analytical Lead to join their team in Tokyo. This role involves generating insights and recommendations that directly benefit clients, enhancing their business performance and opening up new investment avenues on the Microsoft Advertising platform.
About the Role
As an Advertising Analytical Lead, you will synthesise industry knowledge, digital marketing expertise, and advanced analytical methods to craft compelling data stories that sway decision-makers using visualisations and narrative techniques. You will work within and across internal and client teams to deepen expertise in data sources, methodologies, models, analytical tools and processes, and business and client needs by industry vertical to deliver results.
Accountabilities
- Conduct in-depth market research across cinema and simulation sectors, identifying emerging trends, competitive threats, and partnership opportunities that directly inform the company's quarterly strategic planning sessions
- Leverage appropriate sources of data, determines optimal statistical methods for integrating data, and identifies and addresses gaps and/or quality issues in data, in partnership with both internal and client teams
The Candidate we're looking for
Experience:
- 6+ years experience in statistics, mathematics, analytics, data science, engineering, computer science, marketing, business, data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, business and financial analysis, or related field
Technical skills:
- 6+ years experience using tools such as PowerBI/Tableau, DAX, R, SQL for data manipulation and visualisation on large datasets
Personal attributes:
- Dynamic and creative critical thinking skills, with an ability to think outside of the box
- Solid ability to communicate complex analyses to a mix of both technical and non-technical partners and clients
